The Linbury Trust was established by Lord Sainsbury of Preston Candover KG, and his wife Anya, Lady Sainsbury CBE, the former ballerina, Anya Linden.

The Linbury Trust made its first grant award in 1973 since then has awarded grants across the world. Our Trustees are Mark Sainsbury (Chair), Lady Anya Sainsbury, Sarah Butler-Sloss, Julian Sainsbury, Richard Butler Adams, James Barnard, Emily Stubbs, and Laura Marshall.

Lalor Foundation

The Lalor Foundation was incorporated in Delaware in 1935 under bequests from members of the Lalor family. One of the foundation’s major objectives has been to give assistance and encouragement to capable investigators embarking on teaching and research careers in universities and colleges. The program’s mission is to support these researchers early in their work so they can become independently funded in the field of mammalian reproductive biology as related to the regulation of fertility.

The Allan and Nesta Charitable Trust

The Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust was set up in 1979 by their son and daughter in law, John and Elnora. Its objectives closely follow the interests of the Ferguson family and their commitment to education, peace, and reducing poverty in developing countries. John and Elnora spent many happy years working across the world, helping to develop teaching practices, promote understanding and support people to live safely and happily. Since 1979, nearly £60 million has been distributed to a range of charities, working in the UK and overseas, funding projects that work towards these objectives.
